After a year off to save up funds, the mighty Peace in the Park Festival is returning to the Ponderosa Park on the 11th June! We’re delighted to have been once more dealt the task of selecting the line up for the main stage and now the time has come to reveal the party starters providing the beats on a (hopefully) sunny summer afternoon!

On top of this lovely live music, in between the bands our very own Chris Arnold shall be on tune selection/hosting duties with some special guest DJs including Dubcentral, Simmerdown, Sounds Like This and Vibes & Stuff!
Peace in the Park as you all know by now is a community-driven, charitable festival which relies on donations and fundraisers. If you want to help the cause, feel free to attend an upcoming fundraiser or donate over at the Local Giving page.
Here’s some more information on the acts we’ve got appearing on the main stage…
BISON
Headlining the afternoon we have Sheffield legends Bison. The orange army have a history of seriously rocking the main stage at Peace in the Park and we’re sure this year will be no different!
SMILING IVY
Ska/funk/reggae goodness, always provide the goods. They released their debut album for free last year and recently celebrated 10 years of being a band!
MANGO RESCUE TEAM
Tropical explosion Mango Rescue Team have gone from strength to strength these past few years, and we hear they are the only band going that provide their own inflatable palm trees.
BALKAN BANDITS
Nothing quite beats getting your legs up to a cabaret-tinged Balkan Bandits show!
KING CAPISCE
Post rock jazz maestros shall be bringing a touch of class to the afternoon’s proceedings, musical prowess at its finest.
STEEL CITY RHYTHM
Reggae/dub heads Steel City Rhythm can be found playing festivals up and down the country this summer. Lovely grooves, lovely horns, lovely vibes.
PAPA SOUL
Soul funksters Papa Soul playing the finest selection of tunes from across the musical spectrum.
FOREFATHERS
Relatively new to the scene, Forefathers shall be opening up the day with their blend of afrobeat, funk and and brassy soul!
