PRESS SHOTS

Arnivore

Author, singer, dreamer, believer, over-achiever, carpet salesmen.

None of these terms have ever been attributed to Chris Arnold, a simple ex-pea-farmer from Essex. He has however been called a "ham-handed, fat-backed lowlife" on multiple occasions. By both parents.

Post-pea-plantain recession, he turned his attention to his first love - becoming the king of Prussia. After that failed, he turned his attention to his second love - music. He tried to break into, and subsequently failed to break into, almost every scene under the moon. These included opera, crust-punk, slut-funk, barbershop, moombraton, countrystep, sausla, biscuit-disco, transgender trance, plunk and many more. After years of trying it was unanimously decided that he did "music" more harm then he did good.

One day he received a letter from Willie Nelson. The letter begged him to stop performing music. He didn't say anything about DJing though. LOOP HOLE.

He bought NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC 15, borrowed some iPod headphones and tweeted Steve Aoki a number of times. He didn't reply. He also picked up the DJ name Arnivore because it made him sound like a dinosaur, which he so longed to be.

Dinophile - Noun, 1) a person who has desires to be a dinosaur. 2) a tasty snack.

Somehow along the way people stopped throwing their old pants at Arnivore and started to dig his style. He now plays all over the UK and beyond, shared line ups with the likes of A.Skillz, Rudimental, Zane Lowe, MJ Cole, Plump DJs, Jamie XX, Jaguar Skills, The Correspondents, Deekline & Ed Solo, Huw Stephens, Utah Saints, Mr. B the Gentleman Rhymer, J*STAR, Slamboree, Delphic, Youngblood Brass Band, Dub Pistols, Mary Anne Hobbs, Dutty Moonshine, Oneman & DJ Woody and has been invited to perform festival slots at Boomtown Fair, Festival, Glastonbury, Kendal Calling, Beat-Herder, Tramlines, Eden, Wakestock, Y-Not amongst others. Other notable gigs include The French Alps, the Scottish Highlands and the islands of Ibiza and Gili T.

I guess you'll have to find out for yourselves whether he really is worthy of your time. Check him out at a club night, festival stage, mountain top or train carriage near you soon!
